Here are a few pictures from various projects undertaken at Byam Shaw over t'past couple of months, loads more photos to come once I get round to it. Unfortunately my memory stick was lost in the post so it might take me a while to get the pictures but I will get them eventually!! Apologies for the massive delay since the last post on here, I've just been too busy to think about blogging and there was the slight technical problem of not having a computer until 2 weeks ago (thanks mum).
This wax scultpure is a piece for my most recent project 'Sci-Art'. I've been looking at cybernetics (mixing humans and machines) and asking questions about where this is taking evolution and the moral problems asociated with it. This piece is a study for 3 paintings I'm about to start next week.
Spacial construction. The brief was to bridge some sort of gap in space so I looked at the gap between inside and out.
Hello, Just wondering What Media Did You Use For The transcription drawings, they are interesting, disappointed couldn't attend foundation at central st martins due to financial, has more modern approaches to art foundation.
ReplyDeleteDid those drawings in liquitex acrylic with a bit of charcoal on top. It's a shame you couldn't attend for financial reasons, there should be more money out there for people that can't afford it. Luckily as a home student i don't have to pay tuition fees so i didn't have to worry about that.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see that you're doing lots of different types of work and so obviously enjoying it. Brilliant! Keep at it. Hope we'll see you over Christmas.
ReplyDeleteHi Cuthbert
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed seeing how your work is developing especially when confronted with such diverse challenges - it's all about thinking just as much as making at this stage - keep it up, be brave and reckless, have fun and aim high. Thanks for showing the work, good to see it.
Also keep writing, you won't sound like a 'dick', not yet anyway.
Thanks again Tony and Tom!! You'll definitely be seeing me over xmas, will there be a life drawing at some point over the holidays? You'll be glad to know that i really have started to knuckle down and be more ambitious over the past couple of weeks and I dont plan on easing up until summer really. I'll try to keep this updated as often as possible from now on as I am producing more and more work.
ReplyDeleteThanks for looking!
